Today was a big day for my family as my Mum graduated from the Open University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. The ceremony was held at the Barbican Theatre in Central London. An honorary degree was awarded to the very entertaining poet - Roger McGough. My Australian Grandmother flew over especially from Sydney and my Mum's friend Jill travelled down from Whitby. Jill and mum stayed in the recently opened, super trendy, Bermondsey Square Hotel, whilst Grandma stayed with Carolyn and I. After the ceremony, we all headed to Alfie's for one of the best dinners we have ever had. Great job Mum, we are all very proud of you.
